Yes – I am still alive. And I have been cooking and baking lately. Really I have.
Let me explain –
It all started Easter Sunday. I ate a boat load of ham (best ham I had ever tasted) and was heating leftovers up that night for supper. All of a sudden I thought if I ever laid eyes on another piece of ham I might die. Then my son asked for seconds – and I had to stand up and make another ham and cheese sandwich. I was pretty sure I wasn’t going to make it. I waited until the morning to discover I was in fact going to have another baby. Quite exciting. But blogging about food and recipes and all of the above seemed quite impossible. For example – I made the best grilled cheese I ever have had, I couldn’t even stomach putting the pictures into the computer, let alone write about it. Poor Kerry Gold had to take a break for awhile 🙁 I would start loading pictures into the computer and my mouth would start to water – not in the good way. I tried wearing a mask while making dinner but it didn’t work quite so well. I just had to take a break for a bit.
I have gone back and forth on whether or not I should continue to do a blog. I cook and bake regardless of the blog or not – but taking pictures and sitting down to write it down takes a lot of work. It’s not work really – but it is time consuming. And I’m not sure I want to take the time to do it. With working full time, homeschooling, 2 (3!) kids underfoot and everything else – it takes a back seat. Which it should I guess. I truly love it, but I’ m not sure what it will look like in the future. I guess that’s ok for now.
