We try to eat mostly organic, especially fruits and vegetables. However, sometimes they aren’t always available. Although the produce above is organic, I’ve gotten in the habit of soaking my fruit and vegetables in vinegar water. Vinegar and water wash kills 98% of bacteria and removes pesticides -so “they” say. What can it hurt?
It needs to be 1 part vinegar to 3 parts water.
As soon as I unload my groceries, I make a vinegar bath and let them sit for about a half an hour in the water/vinegar solution.
Then I rinse them and put them in colanders and store them in the refrigerator.
