When Ollie was little(r) and we would go through the drive through, he would ask if I was going to get a Cafe Meow again. 🙂
Since it’s not feasible to run to Coffea every morning to have my miel, I have come up with a recipe to make it at home.
Make a simple syrup of equal parts honey and water. Add in ground cinnamon and let boil for a minute or so. Store in a jar in the refrigerator.
When you’re ready to make your Miel, brew some strong coffee, add in a couple tablespoons of the honey concoction and a couple of tablespoons of cream.
I skim mine off the top.
Mix together and you’ve got a wonderful cup of coffee.
- 1 cup honey
- 1 cup water
- 1½ T cinnamon
- Boil for a minute or 2.
- Store in the frig.
- Add in 2 T (or more) of honey mixture to a mug of hot coffee.
- Add 2 T cream. (or more)
